DISPEX AA 4040
Dispersant for inorganic pigments and fillers. Dispex AA 4040 is a dispersing agent for the production of a wide range of water-borne
paints and varnishes, especially for dispersions of inorganic pigments.
Appearance: pale yellow liquid.
The product can be used in the form supplied. The alkaline neutralizing agent used in conjunction with the acrylic polymer can greatly affect the properties of the final coating. When using Dispex® 4040, ammonia is volatilized during the drying process and as a result, only slight changes in the water and alkalinity of the coating occur.
Dispex® AA 4040 is effective in the pH range 5–10.5 and temperatures up to 70 ° C due to the potential for loss of volatile ammonia. Compared to dispersants for inorganic pigments such as polyphosphates, Dispex® AA 4040 is based on an organic polymer and improves the storage stability of both pigment pastes and finished coatings. There is only a slight effect of high temperature or pH changes.
