EMULSOGEN 4084

Emulsogen 4084 is a nonionic emulsifier for Styrene/acrylate dispersions, Acrylate dispersions, and Vinyl acetate dispersions.

Emulsogen 4084 is used as a nonionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of monomers like pure acrylic, styrene-acrylic acid esters, and vinyl acetate.

Emulsogen 4084 is used in the emulsion polymerization of polyvinyl acetate, acrylate, and styrene/acrylate dispersions.

Emulsogen 4084 is a nonionic surfactant for paints and coating binder formulations.

Emulsogen 4084 stabilizes the rheological behavior of the polymer dispersions and improves the electrolyte & shear stability.

Emulsogen 4084 maintains low viscosity of polymer emulsion at different shear rates and it enhances electrolyte stability

Emulsogen 4084 exhibits low foaming and offers good wetting & dispersing properties.

Emulsogen 4084 is a low-foaming surfactant widely used in polymerization in the emulsion of regular anionic latexes.

Emulsogen 4084 boosts the stability of electrolytes and heating and cooling cycles through steric stabilization.

Emulsogen 4084 prevents coagulation due to steric stabilization in the emulsion polymerization process.

Emulsogen 4084 by Clariant is a non-ionic, APEO-free, low VOC (less than 1%) ethylene oxide (EO)-propylene oxide (PO) block copolymer with an ABA structure consisting of 60 wt% ethylene oxide units.
The A block is hydrophilic and the centered B block is hydrophobic. It acts as an emulsifier.

Emulsogen 4084 is resistant to water, hardness salts, acids, and alkalis in the concentrations normally used.

Emulsogen 4084 is pale yellow wax that needs to be melted at 60°C and added in parts to hot water (95°C) under stirring until the solution becomes clear.
Emulsogen 4084 forms a clear aqueous solution in a concentration of 25% and below, at 25°C,

More concentrated aqueous solutions of Emulsogen 4084 become waxy at room temperature.

Emulsogen 4084 can be used in combination with other non-ionic, anionic, and cationic surfactants.

Emulsogen 4084 complies with FDA regulations and is listed in AICS, DSL, EINECS, ENCS, IECSC, NECI, KECI, NZloC, PICCS and TSCA.

Emulsogen 4084 is composed of a block copolymer of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide, containing 60% w/w ethylene oxide.

Emulsogen 4084 is used in the emulsion polymerization of polyvinyl acetate, acrylate, and styrene/acrylate dispersions to stabilize the rheological behavior of the polymer dispersions and to improve the electrolyte and shear stability.
It can be used in combination with other nonionic, anionic, and cationic surfactants.
