Applications of Emulsogen LP:
Emulsogen LP can be used as a nonionic emulsifier and co-emulsifier. 
Since Emulsogen LP is liquid, the product is cold processable and can be used very flexibly in many cosmetic formulations. 
Both classic products like traditional emulsions based on nonionic emulsifiers and specialized products, for example self emulsifying blooming bath oils, leave on and rinse off hair conditioners or hair dye emulsions are easily and succesfully made with Emulsogen LP. 

Different oil phases can be used with Emulsogen LP. 
The special profile of Emulsogen LP in contrast to standard Oleth-5 allows the use in a second application field: as very powerful solubilizer. 
Clear hair gels and facial toners are examples where the excellent solubilizing activity of Emulsogen LP is frequently used. 

The HLB value of Emulsogen LP is given as 9, if a higher HLB value is needed in the final application, we recommend combining the product with another liquid nonionic product, e.g. Genapol UD 080 (Undeceth-8) which has an HLB value of 13. 
Emulsogen LP is a fatty alcohol ethoxylate and used as nonionic emulsifier for metalworking fluids (emulsions, semi-synthetic) and water-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA-S).

Emulsogen LP provides excellent emulsification properties and is highly compatible with anionic formulation components. 
Emulsogen LP has low foaming tendency, is hard water stable and offers good lime soap dispersing power, being able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate and tallate.
Because of Emulsogen LP's good solubility in most kinds of mineral and vegetable oils, Emulsogen LP can also be used as anti-wear additive to improve lubricity.

Storage of Emulsogen LP:
Due to Emulsogen LP's low pour point (approx. 0 °C) Emulsogen LP can be poured and pumped even at low temperatures. 
Emulsogen LP remines clear and homogeneous down to about 12 °C and can be used without warming and homogenizing. 

If Emulsogen LP is stored below the pour point, it may become opaque and viscous. 
In such case Emulsogen LP should be warmed up slowly to approx 30 to 50 °C and completely homogenized before use.
