Handling of Emulsogen M:
The required quantity of Emulsogen M is stirred at room temperature with the oil to be emulsified until a homogeneous, clear concentrate is obtained. 
The oil/emulsifier mixture is then stirred into the required amount of water at room temperature. 
Stirring is stopped as soon as a uniform emulsion is obtained. 

Generally stirring lasts for about 5 minutes at a stirring speed of approximately 300-500 revolutions/min.
Any creaming up which may occur after prolonged standing can be easily overcome by stirring.

Applications of Emulsogen M:
Emulsogen M possesses excellent emulsifying properties for mineral oils. 
Emulsogen M is very stable emulsions of mineral oils are obtained with as little as 10-12 % emulsifier, calculated on the quantity of oil to be emulsified. 

The water used may be soft or very hard without impairing the stability of the emulsion in any way. 
If 12 % Emulsogen M are used, the emulsions are also largely resistant to electrolytes and mineral acids.
Emulsogen M is a fatty alcohol ethoxylate and used as nonionic emulsifier for metalworking fluids (emulsions, semi-synthetic), rolling emulsions and water-based fire-resistant hydraulic fluids (HFA-S).

Emulsogen M provides excellent emulsification properties and is highly compatible with anionic formulation components. 
Emulsogen M has very low foaming tendency, is hard water stable and offers outstanding lime soap dispersing power, being able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate and tallate. 
Because of Emulsogen M's good solubility in most kinds of mineral and vegetable oils, Emulsogen M can also be used as anti-wear additive to improve lubricity.

Emulsogen M
Emulsogen M is an excellent non-ionic emulsifier for mineral oil, semi-synthetic cutting fluid and rolling emulsion fluid with a low pour point. 
For many years, Emulsogen M has been a popular emulsifier for industrial lubricant formulation. 
With a low pour point and low foaming, in addition to being clearly soluble in most organic solvents, Emulsogen M is highly compatible with anionic components. 
Emulsogen M's excellent lime soap dispersing ability effectively avoids the blocking of filter and residual remaining on the surface of objects.

Storage stability of Emulsogen M:
Due to Emulsogen M's low pour point Emulsogen M can be poured and pumped at low temperatures. 
Emulsogen M remains clear and homogeneous down to about 12 °C and can be used without first warming and homogenizing. 
Recommended storage temperature of Emulsogen M: 20 °C 

Emulsogen M is sensitive to frost. 
In case of Emulsogen M becoming opaque, thickening or being frozen due to the effects of cold, it has to be slowly warmed up to approx. 30 - 50 °C and completely homogenized. 

Applications of Emulsogen M:
Emulsogen M is an excellent emulsifier for mineral oils. 
Already 5 % of Emulsogen M, calculated on the amount of oil to be emulsified are sufficient for stable emulsions both in soft and hard water. 
If 12 % or more Emulsogen M are applied, the emulsions are also largely resistant to electrolytes and mineral acids. 
When applied as nonionic emulsifier component in emulsifiable metalworking fluids, Emulsogen M is highly compatible with anionic formulation components. 

Emulsogen M shows also outstanding lime soap dispersing power and is able to disperse large quantities of calcium oleate or tallate (K-value: approx. 17-20 according to DIN 53903). 
Emulsogen M has been optimized for foam performance and is characterized by a very low tendency to foam. 
Because of Emulsogen M's outstanding solubility in almost all kinds of mineral oils, Emulsogen M can be used as anti wear additive to improve lubricity (see table). 
Mixtures of Emulsogen M and mineral oil are easy to remove with water because low viscous emulsions are formed spontaneously, leaving almost no residuals after running off.
