HOSTAPAL BV CONC.

Hostapal BV conc. is an anionic emulsifier for the chemical industry. 
As an anionic surfactant, Hostapal BV conc. is compatible with other anionic and nonionic surfactants. 
With cationic surfactants, water-insoluble neutral salts are formed. 

Hostapal BV conc. is resistant to caustic soda and water hardness. 
Hostapal BV conc. acts as a lime soap dispersant and has high dispersing power for water-insoluble substances. 
In mineral acid solutions at elevated temperatures, Hostapal BV conc. like all ether sulfates tends to hydrolyse.

Hostapal BV conc. is used as an emulsifier in the polymerization of the following monomers: vinyl acetate together with other vinyl esters, acrylates, vinyl chloride and ethylene; for acrylic and styrene / acrylic dispersions; for butadiene / styrene latex. 
Hostapal BV conc. is also employed as an emulsifier for oils and organic solvents and as a dispersing agent for inorganic and organic pigments such as titanium dioxide, iron oxides, metal pigments, polycylcic organic pigments and metal complex pigments.

Hostapal BV conc. is used as anionic emulsifier for the emulsion polymerization of acrylate, styrene-acrylate and vinyl acetate dispersions.
Hostapal BV conc. is a sodium salt of tributyl phenol polyethylene glycol ether sulfate. 
Hostapal BV conc. acts as an emulsifier and dispersing agent. 
Hostapal BV conc. has low-VOC. 

Hostapal BV conc. is compatible with acrylic and styrene / acrylic dispersions, butadiene / styrene latex vinyl esters, acrylates, vinyl chloride and ethylene.

Uses of Hostapal BV conc.:
1. Emulsion Polymerization:
Hostapal BV conc. is used as emulsifier in the polymerization of the following monomers:
-vinyl acetate together with other vinyl esters, acrylates, vinyl chloride and ethylene
-for acrylic and styrene / acrylic dispersions
-for butadiene / styrene latex.

The use of Hostapal BV conc. allows to produce polymer dispersions with a controlled particle size and with low  coagulation. 
The polymer disperision produced with Hostapal BV conc. shows high stability against electrolytes, time and temperature. 
Hostapal BV conc. is normally used in concentrations of 1.0 – 5.0 %, preferably 2.0 – 3.0 %, based on the monomers.

2. Pigment Preparations:
Hostapal BV conc. is also employed as an emulsifier for oils and organic solvents and as a dispersing agent for inorganic and organic pigments such as titanium dioxide, iron oxides, metal pigments, polycylcic organic pigments and metal complex pigments.
