Description;
Nipacide CI 15 is water based, low toxicity biocide developed for the complete in-can protection of water based products. Nipacide CI 15 is effective against a wide range of microorganisms including gram positive and gram negative bacteria, yeast and fungi. Microorganisms grow at a rapid rate and without use of the correct biocide, numbers can increase dramatically.

• Loss of profit

Applications;
Nipacide CI 15 is recommended for preservation of a wide range of applications including water based /Latex/PVA adhesives, PVA / Acrylic polymer emulsions, water based decorative paints, printing inks, metal working fluids and construction admixtures. Nipacide CI15 is effective against a wide range of common spoilage organisms. Thermal and pH stability for Nipacide CI15 is a critical consideration and it should not be use for products with pH >8.5 or production temperatures of >40 C.

Use level;
Nipacide CI 15 should be evaluated in finished products at levels between 0.1% and 0.3%. Please note, however, that the use of Nipacide CI 15 above 0.1% requires R43 (causes sensitization by skin contact) hazard labeling. Nipacide CI 15 is a low toxicity biocide specifically developed for the complete microbiological protection of water based products against bacterial and fungal spoilage in the wet state, particularly where it is to be used at high ambient temperatures.
It is a water based clear, yellow liquid.
Nipacide CI 15 is recommended for a wide range of applications including adhesives, polymer emulsions, fountain solutions, MWF and paint where protection against fungi and bacteria is required in the wet state.

METALWORKING FLUID PRESERVATION
Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide is recommended for the control of bacteria and fungi in soluble and emulsifiable type aqueous metalworking fluids.

For the maintenance of a nonfouled system, use Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide at 32 fluid ouncesNper 1000 gallons of emulsion (2 Ibs.) every 4 weeks or 3-154 fluid ounces per 1000 gallons emulsion (2-10 Ibs.) every 8-12 weeks.
For a noticeably fouled system use an initial dose of 64-154 fluid ounces per 1000 gallons emulsion (4-10 Ibs.) to be followed by subsequent maintenance dosages depending upon the treatment interval noted above.
A higher dosage range and/or increased fi-equency of treatment may be required depending upon rate of dilution of the preservative with makeup fluid the nature and severity of contamination, level of control required, filtration effectiveness, system design, etc.

The preservative should be dispensed into the use-dilution of the metalworking fluid using a metering pump and uniformly dispersed throughout the system.

METAL CLEANING FLUID PRESERVATION
Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide is recommended as a preservative for use in the manufacture and use of alkaline acid, and emulsion based metal cleaning fluids typically used in electroplating, phosphatizing, galvanizing and general metal cleaning operations.

For addition to a metal cleaning concentrate, add Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide at a level to ensure that the final use-dilution fluid will contain 425 to 1,675 ppm product (6.25 to 25 ppm active isothiazolones).

For direct addition to a fouled system, add 54-214 fl. oz. (3.6-14.1 Ibs.) of Nipacide LX microbiocide to each 1,000 gallons of use dilution metal cleaning fluid every 3-4 weeks to provide 425-1,675 ppm product (6.25-25 ppm active isothiazolones).

A higher dosage range and/or increased frequency of treatment may be required depending upon rate of preservative with the make up fluid, the nature and severity of contamination, level required, filtration effectiveness, system design, etc. . ,

The preservative should be dispensed into the use-dilution metal cleaning fluid using a metering pump and uniformly dispersed throughout the system

WATER-BASED HYDRAULIC FLUID PRESERVATION
Nipacide CI IS microbiocide is recommended as a preservative for use in the manufacture and use of high water-based hydraulic fluids and invert emulsion hydraulic fluids typically prepared by emulsifying 40% by volume water in 60% by volume of mineral oil using an oil soluble emulsifying agent.

For the maintenance of non-fouled systems in the mining, primary steel, motor vehicle production, machinery production, construction industry, etc. use Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide at 110-135 fluid ounces (7.2 - 8.8Ibs.) per 1,000 gallons fluid every eight (8) weeks.
For a noticeably fouled system use an initial dose of 135-235 fluid ounces (8.8-15.4 Ibs.) per 1,000 gallons liquid to be followed by subsequent maintenance dosage.
A higher dosage range and increased frequency of treatment may be required depending upon rate of dilution of the preservative with make-up fluid, the nature and severity of contamination, level of control required, filtration effectiveness, system design, etc.

The preservative should be dispensed into the use-dilution of the hydraulic fluid using a metering pump and uniformly dispersed throughout the system.

COMMERCIAL PHOTOPROCESSING SYSTEM PRESERVATION
Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide is recommended to preveilt slime formation or accumulation in filters and ion exchange resin tanks of commercial photoprocessing systems.

For the maintenance of a non-fouled system Use Nipacide Cl 15 microbiocide at 32-64 fluid ounces (2.1 lbs. to 4.2Ibs.) per 1,000 gallons of water in the system once weekly, or as needed to maintain control of slime. For a noticeably fouled system, use an initial dose of 64-154 fluid ounces (4.2 Ibs. to 10.1 Ibs.) per 1,000 gallons water to be followed by subsequent maintenance dosage.
A higher dosage range and/or increase frequency of treatment may be required depending upon rate of dilution of preservative with makeup fluid, the nature and severity of contamination, level of control required, filtration effectiveness, system design, etc.

The preservative should be dispensed into the final rinse or used water collection tank.

DISPERSED PIGMENT PRESERVATION
Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide is recommended as an in-container preservative for the control of bacteria and fungi in the manufacture and storage of dispersed pigments such as kaolin clay, montmorillite clay, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, magnesium silicate, and kieselguhr used in paint and paper productions.
Add 0.43-1.65 Ibs. ofNipacide CI IS microbiocide (195-750 g) to each 1,000 lbs. (453 Kg) of fluid to provide 425 to 1,675 ppm product (6.25 to 25 ppm active isothiazolones).

ADHESIVE AND TACKIFIER PRESERVATION
Nipacide CI 15 microbiocide is recommended as an in-container preservative for the control of bacteria and fungi in water soluble and water dispersed adhesives such as animal gllle~, vegetable glues, natural rubber latices, polyvinyl acetate, styrene-butadiene, and acrylic latice;. Nipacide
