Applications of Polyquaternium 42:
Polyquaternium 42 is easy to use. 
After the cooling water system is cleaned thoroughly to remove all old algal growth, microbiological slime and other deposits, the system is drained, flushed, and refilled with fresh water. 
For recirculating systems, an initial slug addition of 0.9–2.2 fl oz of WSCP per 1000 gallons of water will provide a concentration of 8–20 ppm of WSCP. 

Dosage is repeated until control is evident. 
Subsequent slug additions of 0.22–2.2 fl oz of WSCP per 1000 gallons of water should be administered every 2–5 days or as needed, providing a concentration of 2–20 ppm of WSCP.
