SYNOX YELLOW 4920
General description
Pigment
Synox yellow 4920 is synthetic iron oxide Fe(OH)O.
Synox yellow 4920 has excellent particle size, easy to be dispersed, excellent compatibility character with the paint and coating system under the feature of thinner powder.
Synox yellow 4920 is also used in coil coatings.
Iron oxide pigments, which may be natural or synthetic, have been used as colorants since early humans began painting on cave walls. Natural pigments are derived from several iron oxide minerals: Red pigments are derived from hematite. Yellow and brown pigments — ochres, sierras, and umbers — are derived from limonite.
Iron oxide pigments of ATAMAN CHEMICALS are ranging from rusty red, orange, and yellow tones to earthy tan, brown and black shades, that offer the tint strength, color purity and light fastness needed for long-lasting performance.
Iron oxide pigments produce vibrant, durable colors in concrete and other cementitious materials.
Iron oxide pigments are tested and certified to be light-fast, insoluble, and alkali-resistant (ASTM C-979).
This means iron oxide pigments will not deteriorate over time and will be readily visible in the concrete.
Due to their small size, ten times smaller than cement particles, iron oxide pigments disperse in the mix, embed in the cement matrix, and give the appearance of uniform coloration.
Iron oxide pigments will not affect the strength or workability of concrete when used in standard doses.
They offer a host of benefits to the concrete contractor, architect, ready mix concrete producer, and manufactured concrete product producer.
Iron oxide pigments can drastically improve the value of concrete.
By adding color, concrete is more attractive and provides color-related properties such as solar reflectiveness.

TSCA Definition 2008: An inorganic pigment that is the reaction product of high-temperature calcination in which iron (II) oxide, iron (III) oxide, and zinc oxide in varying amounts are homogeneously and ionically interdiffusion to form a crystalline matrix of spinel.
Its composition may include any one or a combination of the modifiers Al2O3, NiO, SiO2, InO2, or TiO2.

Ferumoxtran-10 189047-99-2
A superparamagnetic iron oxide (a mixed iron Fe(II) and Fe(III) oxide) covered with low molecular weight dextran (dextran T-10).
Iron oxide is a superparamagnetic form of non-stoichiometric magnetite which is 43-60 A in diameter. In solution, a colloidal particle has a Stokes diameter of 170 to 210 A by size exclusion chromatography. The colloidal particle consists of crystals of iron oxide with a covering of dextran (60-75 A thick).
