Foaming behaviour of Hostapon SG:
Sodium Cocoyl Glycinate is a a mild cosurfactant which gives a rich foam from the slightly acidic range (pH 5.5) to the alkaline range (pH > 9).
Hostapon SG provides excellent foam in combination with fatty acid salts (soaps).
By choosing the appropriate combination of soap of different chainlength, foam volume and creaminess can be dramatically improved.
In this re-spect, lauric acid boosts foam, a combination of lauric and myristic acid will produce more creamy lather.
In combination with Cocamidopropyl Betaine or Coco-Betaine at pH > 7 foam buildup (flash foam) is com-pareable to standard SLES/Betaine systems.
Addition-ally, higher foam creaminess is achieved.
In mild surfactant systems based on Alkylpolygluco-sides and Betaines Hostapon SG improves flash foam.
Thickening behaviour of Hostapon SG:
Hostapon SG is significantly easier to viscosify than other aminoacid surfactants like acylglutamates or sar-cosinates.
Rinsability of Hostapon SG:
Hostapon SG provides excellent rinsability, especially for areas with low water hardness.
In this respect Hostapon SG shows significant advantages over conventional co-surfactants like cocamidopropylbetaine, taurate surfac-tants, acylglutamates and even monoalkylphosphate.
In a rinsability panel test the panelists could feel a per-ceivable sensoric difference with a 95% significance level when comparing 10 % SLES solution with a solu-tion containing 10 % SLES plus 3 % Hostapon SG.
Low-temperature properties of Hostapon SG:
At room temperature, Hostapon SG is a clear to slightly hazy liquid, which may form a slight precipitate on storage.
