Potassium Cocoate soap is a coconut oil derived potassium salt.
Potassium Cocoate soap contains glycerin, which serves as a natural moisturizer in personal care formulations.
Due to Potassium Cocoates excellent foaming capabilities and soft feel, Potassium Cocoate soap can be used as a base for natural shampoo formulations, liquid soaps and body washes.
Potassium cocoate is a natural liquid surfactant made from coconut oil and glycerin.
Use Potassium Cocoate to add bubbles to liquid soap, shampoo, and scrub.

Potassium cocoate is the potassium salt of the coconut fatty acid.
Potassium Cocoate is derived from 100% natural coconut oil and potassium hydroxide and consists of a mixture of fatty acids.

Description of Potassium Cocoate:
Our Potassium Cocoate, an anionic surfactant, is processed from 100% pure, natural, whole coconut oil.
Soaps made from coconut oil produce the most copious lather of all the animal and vegetable oil soaps.
Since we use whole coconut oil, rather than fatty acid extracts, the natural glycerin found in the oil is retained.
This adds emollient and moisturizing qualities often lacking in fatty acid soaps.
Potassium Cocoate may be incorporated in to hand soap, shave cream, body wash and other organic-focused products.
Further, the foaming properties and feel of SLES-based soaps may be improved by adding 10-25% coconut oil soap.

Potassium Cocoate is the potassium salt of coconut fatty acid.
Potassium Cocoate has excellent foaming properties and is ideal for use in personal care formulations for shampoos, liquid soaps, bar soaps and shower gels.
Potassium Cocoate is also widely used in cleaning and I&I applications such as surgical soaps and scrubs, as well as for cleaning hard surfaces.
Potassium Cocoate is also used in agrochemicals such as in the preparation of insecticides.
Potassium Cocoate is also biodegradable and has no preservatives included.

What Is Potassium Cocoate?
Potassium cocoate is a potassium salt that originates from the fatty acids present in coconut oil.
While coconut oil is edible, potassium cocoate is not.
The substance, also known as potassium coco soap, is a translucent pale-yellow liquid that contains glycerine, a moisturizer.
Manufacturers use potassium cocoate to make soaps and shampoos.

Functions of Potassium Cocoate:
Potassium cocoate is a natural surfactant, a chemical that removes dirt from the surface of objects and skin when you mix it with water.
Potassium Cocoate loosens and keeps dirt and grease off surfaces until they flow down the drain.

How Potassium Cocoate Works:
Surfactants such as potassium cocoate spread molecules apart, reducing a surface's tension.
As a result, the dirt and grease trapped by those molecules are released.
The grime rises, leaving the surface below clean.

For anyone who is used to buying any kind of cosmetic or beauty product, a common ingredient you will see is called Potassium Cocoate.
This has become a very popular choice of product for cosmetic firms and the like to work with.
This translucent liquid is a common choice for those who are looking for something that works well in their various shampoos and soap products.

Potassium Cocoate’s used for various reasons.
One of the most common reasons is the ample presence of glycerine within.
Glycerine is used due to the fact that it’s a quality moisturizer.
For that reason, then, you can see why Potassium Cocoate is so commonly used in the industry.

If you are on the lookout for what all the ingredients in your shampoo products actually do, potassium cocoate is a good one to learn about.
As a natural surfactant, Potassium Cocoate’s great for getting rid of dirt – including on our skin.
That makes Potassium Cocoate a useful item to use in soaps and shampoos, as it can do a lot of work to get rid of grease, dirt, and other such objects.
This is why many people use it on their hair and their skin – it’s literally a cleaning item.

Potassium Cocoate’s also noted to be safe for usage at high levels of usage.
In fact, Potassium Cocoate was rated so safe that a product could be 40% Potassium Cocoate and still be safe to use.
Potassium Cocoate’s become a product that many people use as part of their own cleaning products and cleaning solutions, too.
Potassium Cocoate’s great for reducing surface tension, too, which can be useful for making sure that your hair can be more effectively cleaned without lasting or even short-term damage.

However, if you are using a product with Potassium Cocoate in it then you should do all that you can to avoid either ingesting it or getting it in your eyes.
Rinse your eyes out ASAP, and make sure that you don’t rub them if you have contact lenses in.
Take them out further.

Also, try and use any product that has Potassium Cocoate in it from a well-ventilated location.
If you start to feel uneasy or ill in any way, then you should seek medical attention ASAP.
This might be useful for cleaning, but it’s still a product that you have to be cautious of if you get it on your skin, or in your eyes/mouth.

Precautions of Potassium Cocoate:
Despite being safe as an ingredient, concentrated potassium cocoate as a raw material can cause irritation if it gets in your eyes.
When that happens, rinse your eyes with plain water.
Remove your contact lenses if you have them in.
Consult a doctor if the irritation persists.

Potassium Cocoate can also irritate your skin and cause breathing problems.
Wash the area the product touches with soap and water.
Move outside or to a well-ventilated room if you inhale potassium cocoate's fumes.
Seek medical attention if you do not feel better within a few minutes or if breathing becomes more difficult.

Potassium Cocoate is classified as a surfactant and is used in personal care like any surfactant.
Potassium Cocoate is a pure soap, derived from the whole coconut oil (the potassium salt of fatty acids).
Made from renewable resources, and preservative free, Potassium Cocoate's an excellent choice for natural cleansing formulations and cleaning products.
Potassium Cocoate is a good substitute for Cocamidopropyl Betaine and other more harsh surfactants, and a wonderful choice for hand soap and other luxury soap, because it is derived from the whole oil and it contains the natural glycerine which may help avoid over drying the skin.

Potassium Cocoate is easy to work with.
Just dilute, as required for your product performance needs, with water or some other water based ingredient.
Like all true soap this will create the squeaky clean feel on the skin.
We have found that it combines very nicely with our Polyglucose Lactylate Blend when you want to avoid that squeaky clean feel.
Even in small Potassium Cocoate offers a smooth, conditioned, feel on the skin.
